Venice, California Homes Sales Hit The Beach

Home prices have risen and sales continue to rise, say local Venice, California Realtors. "Venice, California is a desired destination for travelers the world around," says Realtor Amy Kate Connolly. "World renowned for its funky beachfront boardwalk, street performers, artists, boutiques and extensive white sand beaches, Venice is considered one of the "hippest" communities in Los Angeles. Bordered by Santa Monica to the North and Marina Del Rey to the South this beach community symbolizes the laid-back California beach lifestyle." She describes, "With 16 miles of canals, Venice, California was envisioned in the early 1900"s to resemble Venice, Italy, both in culture and in architecture. Housing in Venice ranges from small, affordable single-family homes and condominiums to upscale million dollar-plus custom residences." Says Realtor Peter Gragnani, "The first two months of 2003 we saw 35 homes sell with and average price of $645,314, which was a 7.03 percent increase from the same time last year. Also, the homes sold for 96.78 percent of their listing price. Home prices are rapidly appreciating and there are no signs of slowing down."
