Prudential California Realty Introduces Office of the Future Concept

Prudential California Realty (PCR) today announced its expansion in the Sacramento and Tahoe regions with the opening of four new company-owned offices that introduce the "Office of the Future concept." PCR plans to open the first four Offices of the Future within days, including locations in Sierra Oaks, Folsom, Laguna and Roseville. The company is also aggressively pursuing several other locations within the region. “We have long been committed to the Sacramento/Tahoe area,” says Dave Cobo, Chairman of PCR. “We see this as an opportunity to increase, strengthen and retain our brand through progressive advances and strategic expansion.” The Office of the Future provides agents and consumers with better access to information and an environment that is completely conducive to maximum efficiency, including more open space, computer ports, banks of computers for consumers, and the most advanced cabling to maximize WebTop access. “Traditional offices tether the agent to the office, which is not ultimately good for their business,” says Ed Krafchow, president of PCR. “We know the most successful agents are out meeting with clients and communicating via their laptops and cell phones, not in the office shuffling paperwork. So we have invested heavily in providing the kind of infrastructure that gives them access to the most progressive technology and resources for themselves and their clients both internally and remotely.” According to Cobo and Krafchow, PCR plans to convert all of its offices to this new technologically savvy model, starting with the Sacramento/Tahoe region. PCR has remained at the forefront of new technology, including the introduction last year of the WebTop, an intuitive, web-based technology platform for agents; http://www.PruWeb.com, the consumer website that enables the public to search for properties, calculate a mortgage, and choose a Realtor; Wireless Application Technology giving agents to access to the WebTop via their cellular phone and Palm Pilot; Listing Watch, (http://www.PruWeb.com) a web-based search tool that enables consumers to search the Northern California MLS for listings that match specific criteria; and the eHomeSale, an online platform for the home-buying and selling process. Prudential California Realty (PCR) is a locally owned and operated member of the Prudential Real Estate Network, and is ranked 3rd across the North American Network with over $10 billion in sales and 2,900 transactions. The company"s 2000 expansion activities included the addition of 22 new offices throughout Northern California and Northern Nevada, and 1,000 new agents.

Dog Parks Emerging "Must Have" for Pet Loving Home Buyers.
Home buyers across the country are adding in rising numbers a walk-to dog park to their new home search parameters. I first reported this trend in my annual survey: "What"s In, What"s Out with Homebuyers in 2006." Many first-time and repeat home buyers in suburban and urban communities want to include a nearby dog park as a day-to-day way to integrate their favored pooch into their next hood.
