Look to the Stars for Decorating Advice

You’ve bought the decorating books, you’ve watched the shows... but all for nothing... your home or apartment is still empty and lifeless. You can’t seem to find your niche. Nothing “speaks to you.” If this sounds like you, you should consider visiting Homestore.com’s HomeStrology feature - a recent addition to their extensive web site. Respected New York astrologer, John Marchesella, decided to create HomeStrology™ astrological forecasts to help “decorator-challenged” homeowners learn what they liked. “Most people are unaware that the 12 zodiacal signs are very specific about our homes and how we live in them,” explains Marchesella. “HomeStrology is a perfect way for people to get more in touch with themselves and the places they live.” John explains how he became interested in astrology: "No one grows up wanting to be an astrologer. You"re called into it. When I was in college, my roommate"s mother was an astrologer. I was lucky to find her. She spoon-fed me astrology. When I first started, it was mainly word of mouth handed down by legend. At that time, there was only a handfull of books to read from astrologers earlier in this century. In the 70"s, however, a boom of books started being published. Classes started forming. Since then, there"s a full education program. The program has matured into a serious profession. I"m now a teacher at the National Council for Geocosmic Research.” To create the HomeStrology profiles, John had to draw on his twenty-four years of astrological experience, and carefully evaluate the personalities of each sign. "Each of the 12 signs have particular characteristics. Astrologers apply these characteristics to the object and style of the homes." For example, water signs stick to cool tones and flowy textures when decorating their homes while earth signs stick to earth tones and natural, earthy textures. An air sign would be more comfortable in a penthouse while an earth sign would choose a basement apartment. With this in mind, John created extensive profiles for all astrological signs. These profiles outline a little about your sign, what element you feel most comfortable around, the colors you should surround yourself in, your style and your favorites. "HomeStrology is fun, it"s pop... It has meaning, but it"s light." John says. Now the question becomes: "Is it accurate?" I was absolutely amazed with my personal profile. Everything was so true! I have all the colors, elements, etc. that my profile says are essential to a comfortable Piscean home. That must be why I love it so much! Skeptical, I read the profiles for my friends and family, but they were just as accurate! "Astrology is similar to psychology or any other healing art," John says, "It can be a very compelling, deep subject that sheds light on human character." If you"re interested in the study of astrology, John recommends reading Astrology by Ron Davison, The Inner Sky by Steven Forrest, and a series of books ranging from beginner to advanced levels by two women: March and McEvers called The Only Way to Learn Astrology. Mortgages are packaged into securities and sold to investors, but the number of subprime loans in a package is unknown. What has caused investors to get spooked is not knowing whether or not securities will lose value because of the unknown quantity of high-risk mortgages that may end up in default. Mortgage securities are necessary to help provide liquidity to mortgage lenders. As their packages of loans are purchased as securities, they have new money to lend to more borrowers.

Winning Your Way Into Your Neighbors" Hearts: A Few Tips
You"re traveling out of state when your next-door neighbor, in the middle of walking his dog, spots something peculiar trailing out from under your front door.
